My Story
I lived and worked the family cattle station for many years. When I finished High School, I moved straight onto the station. We held over 300 square mile at the time. I rode and trained horses for work, and also in any of my spare time. Holidays consisted of packing the truck up and travelling Australia with a team of horses.
Life had a different direction in mind for me than just riding horses and chasing cattle though.
I lost my top horse Speilberg unexpectantly, not long after jumping a clear round in the Brisbane Royal World Cup. I was heartbroken. I still had some nice horses, but that was the catalyst for me to look for something different, some less fragile than a competitive riding career. The outbreak of the Equine Influenza helped with that decision as well.
My life moved to Geelong Victoria where I studied a Degree in Business (Agriculture) and a Diploma of Horse Business Management. I studied and competed horses for a short time before fully focusing on my studies.
